Our Story
The team founded this non-profit to educate children and adults on a variety of issues ranging from mental health and activism to common school subjects like math and science. Our goal in creating this organization is to enhance the quality of life for people in one’s community, city, state, country, and hopefully, the entire world.
Meet Our Team!

Director of operations and communications/Head board Member
Soha Kenjale
Soha Kenjale is an eleventh grader and the Director of Operations and Communications/Head Board Member for Empower the Minds, where the collaborative community works hard in helping others and educating people about issues directly affecting the lives of individuals today. She has had a passion for helping people throughout her life and has always tried to be a voice to spread peace, equality, and positivity in the world she has gotten the opportunity to grow. Soha is interested in Business and Engineering, and in her free time she loves to play tennis, read, and cook. She has been a member for over four years and in that time has been a part of multiple fundraisers, events, and educational classes. She is very excited for what her future with Empower the Minds brings!

Director of Operations & Communication
Isha Katti
Isha Katti is the Director of Operations and Communications at Empower the Minds. She is an eighth grader at Rachel Carson Middle school. She has a passion for debate and public speaking , and aspires to pursue a law career in the future. As an only child, her friends mean the world to her, and she loves spending time with them. In her free time she likes to play volleyball, cook with her mom, watch action movies with her dad, dance, and attempt to play the guitar (it’s a work in progress).

Director of Information & Technology
Ushi Shah
Ushi Shah is the Director of Information Technology for Empower the Minds. As a current 8th grader, she attends Rachel Carson Middle School. Despite being unsure about her future career, Ushi has always been passionate about law and business and hopes to pursue a future in one of those fields. Addtionally, Ushi is a member of the competitive debate team at her school and has participated as well as won an award for a variety of competitions, including Science Olympiad, STEM fairs, multiple art contests, and an essay contest as well. Furthermore, she has many hobbies, including Kathak, a form of Indian classical dance, and art, both of which she is close to earning a college diploma for. In Ushi’s free time, she loves to read, organize her room, and work out.

Director of Information & Technology
Aadi Kenjale
Aadi is a 14-year-old 8th grader at Demasi Middle School. His passion for robotics drives him to excel in FTC competitions, where teams build robots tailored to specific challenges to score points. Recently, Aadi qualified for a global competition in Texas, showcasing his skills by finishing in the top 100 overall in the VEX IQ competition. In addition to his dedication to robotics, Aadi is an avid tennis player. He’s currently honing his skills to make his high school team as a freshman. Outside of his academic and athletic pursuits, he enjoys spending time with friends and playing various sports outdoors, demonstrating his well-rounded interests and commitment to both academics and extracurricular activities. He also has aspirations of pursuing a career in mechanical engineering.

Katie Dilks
Katie Dilks is an eleventh grader and the Director of Social Media at Empower the Minds. Here, the group collaborates and puts their heads together to help their community along with educating others on real world issues. She is interested in Nursing and her hobbies include soccer, horseback riding, and working with her community. As an Equestrian, she is extremely competitive in her sport and has been competing since she was 4. Winning over 200 medals, mainly on her horse’s Cafe and Sheza. She likes to volunteer and bring joy to her environment. She volunteers through her 4H group as well which she has been a member of for the past 10 years. Katie is a first year member, and is excited for her future with Empower the Minds!

DIRECTOR of Marketing
Medha Muthu
Medha Muthukumaran is the Director of Marketing at Empower the Minds. She is a freshman at Oakton High School and part of the Oakton Varsity Girls tennis team. Outside of school, she is also involved in DECA and FBLA, where she explores her passion for business and leadership. She has won several awards in TSA. At Empower the Minds, she wants to help bring positivity and help others. Medha has also played the flute for four years. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends, helping others through social work and community service and loves to bake.
